I'm really excited to announce that my entry in Sonuscore's Composer of the Year 2022 Contest made their Top 10! Sonuscore reports that they received over 350 entries, so there was definitely stiff competition.
Composers were asked to compose the soundtrack for a cut-down version of the trailer for Tellurian, the new sci-fi drama from Ironstar Films.
I have to say I had a blast putting together this soundtrack. As the visuals were quite futuristic, I took an aggressive, trailer-music approach to the music, had a lot of fun with drum shots, distorted guitars, eerie synths, etc.
It was very interesting to hear all the different approaches to the exact same video. Best of luck to all of us in the Top 10!
